What a constitution is actually for

Not for the rules everyone agrees on. For the one nobody thought about until week fourteen, when two managers remember it differently and the commissioner has to pick a side.

Written rules turn that into a lookup. They also protect the commissioner, who otherwise makes every call from memory while one of the people involved is arguing.

The rules leagues actually fight about

Trade vetoes. Every league that has a veto discovers that people vote against trades they dislike, not trades that break a rule. Write down which one it's for.

Inactive teams. An abandoned roster hands free wins to whoever plays it and free pickups to whoever wants them. That's everyone's problem, and it's much easier to decide the rule in September than in February.

Keeper cost. "One round earlier than last year" sounds simple until someone kept a player taken in round twelve who's now top thirty. Decide whether that's a feature.

Traded future picks. They make dynasty leagues interesting and they let one manager empty three future seasons before quitting. Limiting trades to next season's picks is the usual middle ground.

Common questions

Can I edit it after?

Change an answer and generate again. You get a new document and a new fingerprint, which is the point — a changed rule should look changed.

Is anything stored?

No. The whole document lives in the link. Nothing reaches a server.

Does the PDF look like the page?

It prints the document only — no navigation, no buttons. Use your browser's Save as PDF.

Does this work for other sports?

Mostly. Scoring and categories are basketball-shaped; everything else applies to any league.
