Most fantasy Discord bots report. This one advises.
There are already good bots for fantasy leagues. They post the scoreboard on Sunday night, announce when someone drops a player, put up power rankings, and hand out trophies at the end of the week. They're league furniture, and a league is more fun with them.
None of that helps you at 6:47 PM when Booker is questionable and you have thirteen minutes.
That's the gap. Reporting bots tell everyone what happened. Ash tells you what to do about it — and it can, because it has read your roster, your league's scoring settings and this week's matchup before you asked.
What you can actually ask it
Plain English, in the channel, no syntax to learn:
- "Booker or Brunson tonight?" — a verdict, and the two or three numbers behind it.
- "Who should I pick up?" — free agents ranked by how well they fit your team, not by how good they're in the abstract. If you're last in blocks, the answer looks different than it does for the guy in third place.
- "Is this trade any good?" — what each side gains and loses by category, in the context of the roster you already have.
- "How am I doing this week?" — where you stand against your opponent, what's still winnable, and how many games each side has left.
Ash answers with a decision rather than a list of considerations. Fantasy managers don't go looking for advice because they want to hear "it depends" again.
It replies privately
This matters more than it sounds. If you ask in your league's main channel, only you see the reply. Your opponent doesn't learn that you're worried about your center, and nobody gets to counter-pick your waiver claim because they saw the recommendation.
The bot lives in the league chat; the conversation is still yours.
How to add it to your server
Three steps, and the first two take under a minute.
- Invite the bot. You need the Manage Server permission on that Discord server. Open the invite link, pick your server, approve the permissions. The slash commands appear immediately.
- Connect your league. Run
/connectwith your Sleeper username. If you're in more than one NBA league, Ash asks which one. Each person connects their own league, so several managers in the same server can each get answers about their own team. - Ask something.
/asktakes a normal sentence./helplists what's free and what costs a credit.
The bot needs permission to read and send messages in the channel it's used in. It doesn't need administrator, and it doesn't read message content across your server — it works through slash commands only, which is why it doesn't need the privileged intents that heavier bots ask for.
What it won't do
Being straight about the limits is part of being useful.
Ash doesn't promise results. It gives you the better side of a decision more often than not, which is the most any honest analysis can do in a game this random.
It doesn't invent numbers. When a stat or an injury status isn't available, it says so instead of filling the gap with something plausible. A bot that confidently makes up a minutes total is worse than no bot.

Is there a fantasy basketball bot for Discord?
Several, and most of them post scores, standings and transaction alerts. Ash is the kind that reads your roster and answers questions about your own team.
Can a Discord bot see my fantasy roster?
Only if you connect a league to it. After /connect, Ash reads your roster, your scoring settings and your matchup from your fantasy platform. It can't read your Discord messages in other channels.
Will my league see what I ask?
No. Replies are private to you, even in a public channel.
Is it free?
There's a free tier, and general questions never cost anything. Deep analysis that reads your actual roster uses credits. The pricing on the home page lays out the tiers.
