How the odds work
Equal gives everyone the same shot. Fine for a new league where nobody has a record yet.
Weighted hands the last-place team the most entries and scales down to the champion. Leave a team's place blank and it gets the middle weight, not zero — blank means "I didn't say", not "no chance".
Custom lets you type the entries yourself, in the same order as your team list. Use it if your league already has a chart it likes.
Tiers is the strictest version. Teams in tier 1 draw for the top slots, then tier 2 draws for the next block, and so on. A tier 2 team can't land the first pick — that shows in the odds table as a dash.
Traded picks
Put the new owner in the fourth column. The lottery still runs on the original team, because their record is what earned the odds, but the slot appears under whoever owns it now: Bricklayers | 10 | 1 | Fast Break shows up as Fast Break (from Bricklayers).
A team that traded away its pick entirely gets no pick in the fifth column. It still occupies a lottery slot — that's how real leagues work — but the board shows a dash.
Why the result can't change
The full order is drawn the moment you press the button, using your browser's cryptographic random source. Revealing picks one at a time is presentation, nothing more. Reload the page and you get the same order, because it lives in the link.
The fingerprint is a SHA-256 hash of everything that produced the result. Someone who changes the odds afterwards and claims that's how it ran will produce a different fingerprint.
Common questions
Can I run this on a call?
That's what big screen mode is for. Turn it on, share your screen, and set the pace to 10 or 15 seconds so people can react.
What if someone joins late?
Pause, then hit Reveal next when they're ready. The order is already fixed, so waiting costs nothing.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The tables scroll sideways rather than shrinking to nothing.
How many teams can it handle?
Two to thirty. The image switches to two columns past sixteen so it stays readable.
