Picking one that lasts
The best league names survive the season. A pun built on a player you drafted in October stops being funny the week he gets traded, and a name that only makes sense if you're winning gets quiet in February.
Short helps too. Most platforms cut long names off in the standings table, and a name nobody can read is a name nobody quotes back at you.
About the trash talk category
Everything in the savage list aims at the game: your opponent's draft, their roster, their empty lineup slots, the standings. Nothing in it's about anyone's appearance, background or personal life, and nothing is sexual.
That's a deliberate line. League trash talk is fun because everyone can give it back; jokes about a person are how a league chat turns sour in week three.
Common questions
What makes a good team name?
Short enough to read in the standings, specific enough to be yours, and not tied to a single player you might trade.
Can I change it mid-season?
On most platforms yes. Some commissioners lock names after the draft — check your league rules.
Are these clean?
Yes. Nothing sexual, nothing offensive, nothing aimed at a person.
