What is a snake draft board?

A grid showing every pick in the draft, round by round. In a snake draft the order reverses each round, so the team picking last in round one picks first in round two. The board turns that into something you can read at a glance instead of counting in your head.

Which picks do I get in a 12-team snake draft?

If you draft third, you pick at 3, 22, 27, 46 and so on — third from the front in odd rounds, third from the back in even ones. Pick your team from the dropdown and the tool lists every pick number that belongs to you.

What is the difference between snake and linear drafts?

Snake reverses the order every round, so the first pick pays for it with the last pick of round two. Linear keeps the same order all the way down, which is rare in redraft leagues but common in keeper leagues where the first pick was earned. This tool builds both.

How a snake draft works

The order flips every round. Pick first in round one and you pick last in round two, which is the price of getting the best player on the board.

That trade-off is why the middle of round one isn't the bad seat people assume. Drafting sixth in a twelve-team league gets you picks 6 and 19 — two solid players eleven slots apart, instead of one star and a long wait.

Linear drafts

Some keeper leagues run linear: the same order every round, no reversal. It rewards a bad season much harder, because the last-place team picks first in every single round. Switch the type above and the board rebuilds.
